I have a 36g bow front and I was wondering if a wp10 or an rw4 would be best.

I'm sorry about the confusion but I meant the Jebao wp10 not the Vortech mp10. I would love an mp 10 or a gyre but they are just too expensive.Better in what sense? Aesthetically I'd say the Vortech as well as integration if you have a controller like the Apex. Reliability is probably a flip, I've had to throw out some Jebao pumps after about a year of use but the same could be said with my Vortechs with replacing wet sides as they get older. Have you considered the Gyre too?
Thanks for your input, I was thinking the rw4 too.RW-4
More bang for your buck. Very powerful.
Thanks for your input. So you think that one rw4 will be good for a 36?I just put 2 rw 4s on my 60g cube and they seem perfect. Granted this it's my first tank so I have no experience with any other power heads.
Thanks for your input.I would think so. But bear in mind this is my first tank so I'm no expert. At first I ordered two 8s but then was told they would be WAY too much power for my tank. So I sold them on here and bought the 4s. I only have them ramped up about half way and at first they were blowing sand around a little bit. I moved them up just a little higher on the glass and that stopped the sand blowing. I haven't tried running them at full power.
You could always try starting with one and add another later if you're not getting enough flow.
Thanks for your input. Would you recommend cleaning them with vinegar, or what?My girlfriend has 1 rw 4 on a 29 cube with my return flow ,it seems like alot of flow in the biggining but it really isnt they crap out after a year IF you dont clean them but imo your tank 1 plus return is fine
Thanks! That's what I do. Pull one out and soak it in vinegar for awhile, rinse it off in fresh water, and toss it back in the tank. Just make sure the shaft is in the little endcap, and the endcaps are seated properly in each half of the housing as you put it back together. It's easy, but just something to be mindful of when doing it.
Sorry, read that wrong! Rw fir sure then.I'm sorry about the confusion but I meant the Jebao wp10 not the Vortech mp10. I would love an mp 10 or a gyre but they are just too expensive.
