How may stages should I get for a new RODI filter? 4? 5? 6?

Ok thanks i will keep that in mind.It really depends on the quality of the water going into it. If your don't know the quality then the more the better. Its best to make sure the sediment filter is filtering down to 1 micron. The better the water is going to the membrane the longer it will last. That goes for the DI filter as well. Periodically test the ro water with a tds meter to determine when to replace the membrane. Usually you will replace all other filters every 6 months on average. I do recommend installing a UV Light as well.
Also if the home isn't set up with a water softener, then expect to replace your ro membrane within two to three yearsOk thanks i will keep that in mind.
