Last week I put a molly miller blenny and pair of emerald crabs in a nano that had a black widow.

Next morning I woke up to find the black widow dead (and not rotting as it was perfectly healthy the day before).

Any ideas? At first I thought it's the emerald crabs but now also thinking it could be the blenny given some ppl get it for aiptasia control.

Any thoughts pls?

Something ate lunch, maybe.
How big was the black widow?
Was there a new hole in the nem? How big?
Pictures from the scene would be great for examining the details of the mystery.

The nem was gone only a white meaty piece left, and ih smelled it was not rotting like a dying nem. So something chewed on the tentacles..the crab or the blenny

I think everyone in the group got a piece of the action. That’s a lot of flesh to go missing. I’m not going to keep a Molly Miller in my tanks, and I had already banned the green crabs for similar incidents of missing fleshy specimens.

I dont like emerald crabs either, just get them for bubble algae in my nano. If there is another natural way to get rid of bubble algae by all means, I would never get crabs
