I'm looking to upgrade the flow in my Innovative Marine 20 gallon. Currently I'm using a Hydor Koralia 240 and a cheap 90 GPH water pump. Both are mounted at opposite sides of the tank and have been doing an "OK" job for the last 9 months. I have 3 SPS mounted high and 10+ LPS placed around rocks and sand. I don't plan on adding any more SPS, to much of a headache with this setup. With that said I've been looking at Jebao PP4 & PP8.

My question is will the PP4 be adequate for my IM20 without having to add any more pumps? I'd really like to just have one on this tank. Or should I go with the PP8 and turn down the power if it's to much? The reason why I'm considering the PP8 is eventually in a year or so I plan on upgrading to a 40 gallon cube and would like to use it their.

The 8 is pretty large, have 2 in my 75 on 50%. I used to have the 4 in my IM10 on the lowest setting and that was great. Also for aesthetics the 8 may look a bit out of place.

I have the pp4. Love it. I keep it about half the power on my 30 long. Extremely well at mixing up the flow in my reef.

Maybe check out the coral box QP-5. Jaebo product, but silent and controllable. I have one in my nuvo 40 as a supplement for my mp10. It would work great in a 20g

Thanks for the advice. I didn't really think about the size difference, something to consider.

IMHO, based on experience -- The one that isn't a Jebao.

Get a tunze 6055.

I have been looking for a new power head. Is the PP 8 loud/noise at all? I need to find a quite one.
