Which Kessel for nano tank

For a 10 gallon waterbox build, which Kessil light would anyone recommend?

I want to have the shimmer effect, hence not going for the AI prime.

A80, I've used it on a nano. It's very nice, the price is right.

I will tell you my experience with a XR15 blue on the nano. GREAT LIGHT. I could grow anything I had space for. It is VERY powerful and be ready to not use a "pre-programmed" lighting schedule on the mobius app (which I also hate, but I hate all lighting apps apparently). You are putting a ferrari engine into a VW bug. Dial it up SLOW. Do not go out of the gate full blast.

(If you plan on expanding or going bigger eventually the XR15 basically will future proof you up to a 40ish gallon cube)

Haha. I would rather spend the extra 50% more up front then find out later that I need more light. Two A80 lights would probably give you better overall spread though.

That would work too and about the same price so you would have room to grow.
Edit: The A360WE is almost twice the price of the A160WE, I looked at the wrong listing.

If you have any upgrade plans down the road you could always buy a Kessil a360x and use less power you can always use it again later in an upgrade. 10 gallon, 29, 32, and 40 gallons (cubes) you wouldn't need to buy another light.

I run a a360x spare I had over my 18 gallon refugium. Less power. Less heat. Works amazingly well. Or you can go with a cheaper solution l ight.

thanks for input! a stronger light on lower intensity, with less heat, less noise etc is a serious perk i did not consider

The pro gives you a bit more control over the channels for control I believe, but I never ran one to give you a nuanced breakdown, mine was a blue. It uses mobius and was fine.
