So the tank is a deep blue sea 80 gallon rimless, so the dimensions are 48 long by 24 and I have 2 kessil A160we's . I know there are 2 types of goosenecks for the kessils and I really can't find any information on which one would be a good choice. The mini goosekneck says its compatible with the a160we but it is only 10 inches long which means I probably wouldn't get full coverage on my tank. If anyone can help it would be appreciated, Thanks!

The A series gooseneck is for the A360 and H380 models. The bracket on this gooseneck is to big to fit am a160. The mini is for the a160, h160 and A80 models. Youd need the second one you linked :)

Thank you for the quick reply! :) Would the height of the mini gooseneck limit the coverage on my tank though? Because it would be lower ? Or am I over thinking this? Lol sorry for all of the questions I just want to make sure I order the right stuff

Did you already order the a160s? If not I'd actually suggest the A360 for that size tank. With two 160s on a 4 foot tank you wont like it. You'll have shadowing issues and won't be able to cover the whole 48 inches with them.

You should be using 4 160s on a 48" long tank. 160s spread is kind of narrow. I have 2 360wes on a 48" tank and that barely covers from side to side.

Yeah I already purchased the 160's, I got them about a month ago when I was collecting all the parts still, so do I still go with the mini mounts you think and just add more 160's in the future I guess?

I'll probably have to add some more in the future then, first time setting up a reef tank so all of this is a bit new to me / a learning experience

Yes, as @Mical said, you'll want at least 4 a160s

We're ALWAYS learning - new, old whatever... That's what R2R is for - we share, we learn from each other (keeps vendors honest)
