Give me your opinion on these fixtures and which one you'd choose

Maxspect 27 Inch Razor R420R 16,000K LED Light Fixture

EcoTech Marine Radion XR30w (Gen 2) LED Light Fixture

Vega Color LED Module w/ Power Supply - Black Body

REEF BREEDERS LED Fixture

Also my main tank is 60" x 36" x 30"T SPS/LPS dominant

I don't think you should get the ai Vega it has less power and par while 100 dollars more the ai sol still has more Leds and par while a little cheaper

hhhmmm. me thinks something is amiss with this statement. If this is accurate and Im not doubting you, just have not checked, why have i seen multiple coral sellers/growers switch to the vegas?? just curious your .02

As for the poll, I am still undecided and am looking at all the fixture listed and then some.

Well from what I heard the vegas just has more colors like red and green and another I cant remeber off the top of my head the ai sol has 24 while the ai vega has 20 while being a hundered more but dont get me wrong both are great I just dont like how its a 100 more when their less leds but on the other hand theirs more color that you can do im just not sold on the vegas yet

Don't forget the Vega's pack 20 more watts per fixture. That is a big advantage for the Sol to overcome just because it has more LEDs. More LEDs doesn't always equal better performance.

Kody did you check out the ledtric inspire. I compared it against the Sol and you can use 1 ledtric for every 2 Sol. Check them out , there's a contest at r2r as well

have you looked at used ai sol i just picked one up for 275.00 with the controller beutifull light look here and rc

Why is everyone selling them so quickly ?

oh yea totally forgot about ledtric i love them but the only thing is that you cant dim
It can be dimmed :thumb:

It can be totally programed for sunrise sunset even thunderstorms lol
The iNSPiRE Full Spectrum Reef Fixture has a preset Natural Sunrise/Sunset scenario with throughout the day random weather simulations. From 0% intensity, to 100% intensity mid day and also a "moonlight" feature throughout the night. All you have to do is set your local time, plug in the fixture and you are ready to go!
[h=2]Dimming Control[/h]
  • Remote Dimmable Control
  • Digital Display for Easy Programming
  • Programmable, Sunrise, Sunset & Mid-Day Scenarios
  • Multiple Lighting Scenario Custom or Presets Available via Dimmable Controller.
  • No Spotting Effect on Sand, Only Natural Shimmer Effect.
[h=2]Timing Control[/h]
  • 24 Hour Clock – Adjust and set using the Remote Controller
  • Up to Eight programmable events per day, per module (4) – Change the Factory Settings to suit your requirements.
  • User-Programmable-Color. Using the Remote Control, Increase or Decrease the Intensity of Each Color, then Save as your Favorite.
[h=2]Multi-Channel Control[/h]
  • iNSPIRE Full Spectrum LED Reef Fixture comes with Four Individually Dimmable LED Channels.
Two Ways to Adjust the LED Intensity:
  • First is, you are able to adjust all channels intensity at once.
  • Second is to control the intensity of each of the four channels separately.
  • Each of the four channels have 8 different possible customizable settings if the user would like to create their own sunset/sunrise scenario.
[h=2]Linking Control System[/h]Control up to 100 iNSPIRE Reef Fixtures at once. With most fixtures you are limited to just controlling one unit per controller, but considering our controllers are built in, this gives the user the ability to control many at once or individually depending on their preference(s).
[h=2]Fan Control[/h]If the LEDs were ever to power down due to overheating (very rare), the fans will power off, preventing the waste of electricity/energy.

I will take another look at the ledtric fixtures. So far I'm not to sure about reef breeders fixtures being able to get the par I want for 30" tall tank. I'm also thinking about waiting for the new ATI led power module to come out. Note my wife has epelisy and the shimmering makes her get migranes on some of the older or diy fixtures we have seen. not being able to see some of this fixtures in person makes it kinda risky money wise if my wife can't enjoy as well.
