I'm fairly new to salt water, and have just started with corals. The LED lights that I currently have came with the tank (purchased used), and just don't look good no matter what I do to them. I have a 120 gallon. 60"x24" deep with a center brace. The lights will be housed inside a canopy, so I'm looking at 8" or so above the surface of the tank. I have no idea how in depth I will go into corals in the future, so I don't necessarily want to limit my possibilities. I am not going to say money isn't an issue, but I'm not opposed to dropping a chunk of change on these if necessary...

I would prefer to keep it under $2,000, could go higher if needed. Would have to be pretty spectacular to justify though...

On snap, 2000 will get you growing anything you want. Get two kessil AP 700 or four 360 kessil, look into radions maybe as well I'm a black box led user cuz I'm poor. An ati hybrid fixture would be my lighting dream come true!

AI's would would be my choice. A bunch of hydra 26s.

My best advise is to search and look at people's tanks who give advice on lighting. If you don't like how their tank looks then no point following the advice, lol!

Love my radions grow coral like mad. But any of the good LEDs will do that. I like the programmability the radions provide and good linkage into my apex. I think with your budget get the ones that have the features you will use most.

Kessil, AI , ecotech, are all good. Look at pictures and reviews on all. Most of have our favorites. Some have better success then others with same lights. Might also take a look at the aurora here is a link to it. Im a kessil guy though but honestly all the big name lights are good.
