I am going to have 4 dimmable channels on my DIY led setup. I need to decide what colors on each channel. With the drivers I have, I can put as few as 3 bulbs on a channel.

8 Royal blue (I have a few more than this if need be)
4 4000K (I have a few more of these too)
2 2700K
2 lime
2 cool blue
4 hyper violet

I also have a couple true green and quite a few 660nm but want to avoid them if it's not really necessary.

How would you separate them? Why?

Thanks for your input!

Personal opinion:
1)whites (6)
2) rb/hv (can a channel take 12?) (9-10)
3) lime plus one blue (3) (fake cyan)
4) cool blue plus 1-2 rb (add a few rb if catch in 2 applies or to make 3) (3-4)

FW or SW ind. color channels is always "preferred"
Short of that grouping "like" colors is next.
Mixing odd colors or complimentary not so much.. like green/red ect.

I can put up to 14 on a channel.

I honestly could go 14 channels but that would be excessive and the wire bundle would be huge! :) The tank is 18x18x11 so I don't think I will need nearly that many.

So:

Ch1: 10 RB/2 HV
Ch2: 4 NW/2 WW
Ch3: 2 Lime/1 CB
Ch4: 1 CB/2 RB

That's 24 LEDs over the display. I can adjust height from about 3" off the water to about 14" above. Should be able to grow anything as long as water parameters/flow are good.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else?
