Which light?

Hi, I’m keeping acros, Monti, birdsnest and a small BTA in a 2g pico, using an Eheim PowerLED actinic blue. There’s not much info on it, though it seems to do its job, but it’s way too actinic to photograph, and there’s rust on some parts, which makes it a bit fiddly to get it working.

So I’d like to get a new light, found a couple cheapos online and I’d like to see which will be better for growing acros.

With that small of a tank id just put it by a window. But my vote is niether. For 30$ you like half way their almost to a good used kessil.

Summer just passed here, so the opportunity to put it by a window just passed too, pretty cloudy now.

Couldn’t find any such used Kessil on Gumtree, the price tag for a brand new one is pretty scary

How good is the ABI Par38 bulb?

Your from austrailia? Lucky, wish i lived there. You could buy from r2r selling forum no? If i had to choose id pick the light with better reviews is all.

Yeah lol I’m Australian. Nice place but everything, especially aquarium related, is so pricey.

Dunno if there’s many Australians in the R2R selling forum but I’ll have a look.

I’m considering either the PAR38 or the 21LED.
