Which lights???

I am trying to decide on lighting for my upcoming 40 breeder sps build. I have narrowed down the choices to 1 kessil ap700, 3 kessil a160s for a more even spread and to limit shadowing, or 2 eco tech radion xr15s. The dimensions of a 40 breeder are 36Long x 18 front to back x 16in tall

I am a big Kessil fan and would personally do the ap700

The AP700 I used in this review failed after about 6 weeks use. Perhaps a bad apple in the barrel, but it left a bad taste.

Definitely two XR15

Any of those. The Radion if it has the diffusor.
Honestly , if it me I’d look at 4 160.
More units , less shadows more even spread. Easily puts you in high light territory too.

Myself, I’m not a puck guy. Multi emitter.

I would go with the AP700 or (2) A360W's. I've had the 360's and they would be perfect for your tank dimensions. But for almost the same price you get way more control with the AP700 plus everything is app controlled. I've had both lights and the one thing with the 360's or 160's is you get no actinic moonlight. The shimmer is amazing with either light.
