Which Metal Halide SE bulb?

Right now Im running 3 250w Radiums over my tank buy Im thinking I'd like to change out the center bulb with something with a lot of Actinic in it. Im looking for a bulb that will help bring out the colors in the coral and make them glow. Kind of like when you turn up all the blue and UV channels on an led. Is there such a MH bulb?

Not that I'm aware of. Consider some blue leds. Maybe reef Brite?

No. You have the ultimate bulb. If you want more color out of the corals go with the 400W radium bulb. If you want the glow or pop you have to add supplement. VHO super actinic or t5

What ballast are you using with the radiums?

yes the ballast is important, a radium 250 looks more white on a magnetic ballast, i use a luxcor electronic, and it has a more blue look, the magnetic ballasts run at about 275 watts and push the color white. good luck zsu
