Ok I have seen the new V2 in the online store but unless I am looking over something I am not sure which one I need to replace my old PMUP that burnt out. I have everything with my APEX that I ran with my old PMUP, which was only about 9 months when it went out. I have seen every store has one for $49 and one for $39. I am thinking and hoping that I can get the one for $39 but unless I am not reading something or not seeing something I don't see which one I that I can get just to replace my old one with. Maybe there is someone out there that has went through this. I just don't want to get one and still need something else or get one that has stuff I don't need. Maybe I am making to much of it, hell it's only $10 more right? LOL

The difference is that one of the pumps come with power and the other does not.

In my case I only need the 39 dollar once since it is the one that doesn't have the additional power. However, I can never find it in stock...

Forgot to ask, did you take it apart and make sure the plastic bushing on the end didn't get stuck to the shaft? All 3 of the v2's I bought kept locking up when left off. Added some silicone to that bushing and fixed the issue.

Less than a year, make Neptune honour the warranty on that sucker since you paid a premium for it to begin with.

If it burnt out, it was run dry. User-error is not usually covered by warranty; same as running a car into a fire hydrant.

Though I agree it was a poor design, to make an ATO pump that can't run dry.

Whops, overlooked the 'burnt out' comment. Yes, the classic best pump ever that dies when you sneeze at it.

This is a great point. Also taking it out and looking as well. The first time mine stopped Neptune suggested this. Sure enough, dog hair. I had left the top off lid off and my German Shepherd used it for drinking water! I didn't catch it and her hair I guess over time as it got lower sucked in the pump and wrapped around the shaft...

And I couldn't figure out why the tank was using more water than normal - I'm such a dork.

This is what happened to mine. First time above it was the dog hair. Second time I didn't catch it and when it was dry overnight seized. My fault. Now just trying to find a replacement and they don't seem to be in stock much that I catch anyway. Similar to the trident 6 month reagents and before that the trident itself.

Neptune sure does have several high in demand things. Go figure.

Gotta have a low reservoir float switch cutoff. I made hundreds of float switch mounts for PMUPs, was super popular. (It’s in R2R 3D printer marketplace).

I have a model for PMUP V2 as well, I’ll post that soon

Yeah - this was my fault for sure. Probably why I haven't found it in stock yet. My penance :)

I have not had much luck getting anything warranty from them. I have had to rebuy so many things and things that still havent been fixed. Ive learnt a while back not to deal with them unless I absolutely have too.
