Hey guys,

Recently (3 days ago) I bought a regular clownfish and a black storm clownfish (both the same size/juveniles). So far, I can say the regular one is way more dominant as he is bullying/chasing the Blackstorm. However, despite the regular one being more dominant, I feel that the Blackstorm is just shrugging it off. He does not even bother to hide from the regular one and dodges every nip the regular is trying to do. Therefore, there were many cases where the regular one "seizured" in front of the Blackstorm but the Blackstorm didn't do anything back. Also, there were times when these two swim along with each other with no problem. So far, I don't see any fin damage but the strange thing is that my Blackstorm got slightly bigger (after eating better than the regular) than the regular over these 3 days but still gets chased by the regular. I'm so confused about what is happening? Does anyone have a clue what is going on? Will these guys pair eventually? How long does it usually take because I don't want to see a regular chasing black storm? I read somewhere that juveniles will eventually mature and pair. I just want to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

They’ll work it out :). My male was slightly larger than my female at introduction, dominant one will probably become female especially since the second one shook indicating submissiveness

Thank you. Really comforting to hear that ^^
