More light is better for corals.
Both put out a minimum but I think for some softies you'll be fine.
What is the foot print of your tank.

so would either one work? its about 9 by 9 by 9 inches

Positive.
Try to find one with 12K light for more pop on fish and coral color, 12K is even better.
okay ill do that. Thats the down side of this led everything looks really washed out with it. The 50/50 bulb I have looks wayyyyyyy better but doesnt seem very bright.

Is this a 50/50 PC bulb?
You also can opt for a Kessil, you can set the strength on blue and white from 0 to 100% and play with the color combo a bit.
