I like and use the CPR CS202 with a Herbie method. The gripe is the reliance on the Tom Aqualifter. However, that’s not a problem but only if you are very careful about a few things.
First, have a backup at all times.
Second, having it on a controller sages a lot of grief. Turning it on and off at the right times is critical.
Third, be diligent about swapping out the airline periodically. A clogged airline can cause a semi-emergency.
Fourth, be careful to ensure that the back channel has standing water when you turn it back on after maintenance or other situations. Sucking air to start the siphon doesn’t work if the air just slips around.
If the CPR is understood and maintained well, the Herbie approach is dead silent, or nearly so, and very effective.
