I had a whipfin in the past. Most aggressive fish I've ever had

Potters. Awsome colors and very nice. Just make sure it's eating.
Potters wasnt in the pole, but great looking fish for sure. I would go with Whipfin. As another poster stated they can be aggressive. My male Whipfin didn't like my male sunset fairy.

Watch this video i took. At about 25 xeconds into the video youll see the Whipfin being an ***:

We really need more info about your tank.... Size and current inhabitants? Also, is it completely covered with 1/4" mesh? Don't even consider any wrasses if it isn't.

Assuming there's no issues with the above questions, I'd stay far away from a whip-fin pair. That's one aggressive species of wrasse. Either of the flasher pairs are likely a much better choice.

I agree with staying away from whip fins. Stunning color, but pretty much everyone that has kept them very long at all has stories about aggression.
IMO, the other two options are about equal. Either are nice looking, especially if you get a male with good coloration.

+1

it's a little bit harder to find pairs so if your tank can accommodate two flashers, I would go with just a male Carpenter's and a male McKosker's. I've had a few males together from before and they co existed with very little chasing around.

I love the flashers, had a pair of mccomskers and they flashed all day. I made the mistake of leaving the netting off and they made the jump.
