It's very possible that a single pump would do it, but that's in theory - we haven't even seen your tank yet!
How about a pic? We'll be able to give a lot better guidance.
Also how about your budget? If you have the budget and want to buy this pump "for the last time" I might have a different suggestion than otherwise.
Without seeing the tank here's some generic advice. I would guess that you'll end up needing two pumps - 6045's or better. (If cash flow is an issue, buy them one at a time - about $95/each.) I would run them at opposite ends of the tank on timers to simulate a tide - one on for a few hours, then the other. If your tank is right for it, this setup could potentially last you until your corals are fairly grown out. (Mine did....but that's on a 50 gallon tank...3' version of your tank.)
