Hi Tunze team

my tank should arrive soon and I am still struggling with the powerheads. Can you please tell me your opinion?
the tank size is 60x24x28 inch. my thoughts are 1x 6105 on the left side close to the front and 1 xStream 3 on the back right side for enough flow behind the aquascape. that is for the beginning, then later a second 6105 for the right side depends on coral grow.
here is a picture from my aquascape

Thank you but I thought that section is only for ideas about aquascaps not for best position of power heads. But I will give it a try if I don’t get an answer here.
Or maybe the hardware/filtration section? Sorry

my main concern is, is that a good combo or should I go with 2x 6105. It will be my first salt water tank and maybe I overthink things a little bit :).

I personally really like the Stream 3, they just don't build up calcium and lock up and are very low maintenance and super quiet. I would be inclined to use 2 Stream 3's on the back wall centered and pointing opposite directions so you can alternate them and set up a left / right alternating gyre. The 6105's would work as well, as would one of each, and the 6105's are easier to aim, but the structure is so open I think the simple gyre flow would work very well.

Thank you for the quick response. Do you think I am getting enough flow on the front when I put 2 Stream 3 on the back? I really like the Stream 3, it is just a big piece to put it on the front.

Nice scape!
Here is my 120 4x2x2.
2 6095's on the back wall running 100% and alternating every 10 seconds.
2 6105's, one on each side running at 100% 24/7.

I like the idea to have 4 pumps but I have to save some money for now. Everything together is right now to much.
By the way nice tank

Yes, basically you will place one pump about 6" above the other in the back center, one will face left, one right. The flow effect will be like a toilet swirling left and then right as they alternate on a controller. One will just idle while the other pulses .

You can use a Profilux or Apex or the Hydros as well if you plan a general monitor/controller.

Keep in mind if you use the battery back up, it will work with a 7097 as it is powered by the pumps, but the other controller options would need a back up as well for the pump to keep running.
