Hi everyone,
I have a 75 gallon tank, 48x18x21. Assume this is the main form of water movement because the other things I have are weak. What do you think would be best, $200 max budget. LPS and softies. Vote or let me know any other suggestions you might have, it seems like the reviews are all over the place.

A bit more-
What's more reliable, more powerful, etc. Why would you pick one over the other? I'm reading reviews but I feel like this might be a bit more beneficial to hear conversation over it from people who have used one the other both or something else all together that I might not otherwise look at

The EFlux has two heads, so placing them at opposite ends of the tank I think would be more beneficial than one Gyre at one end right? I feel like it would likely help with reducing dead spots and will probably give more varied movements for the corals? Especially since I have an overflow box which can create a bit of a dead spot in the corner.

I do have a couple SunSun 530s but I really don't think they're the best, they seem rather weak so they're really just be to supplement things, mix water, blast the rocks up close etc.

I see the stand alone power heads but they seem to run around $40+ each and if I need 2+ then I'd need to plug them into a strip and turn off the strip whenever I feed which overall I don't mind that much, but if the next option comes with the different water modes or less wires being strung through my canopy and tank I think I'm willing to pay a bit more. Right now one of my power cords drapes half way through the tank because the strip is at the opposite end and the cord is barely long enough.

I personally run two Jebao PP8s on my 90g. Used to have a gyre 3k and jebao... but the gyre was just too bulky looking for my taste. They'll fit a $200 budget too. I got mine both on only about 20%. They're capable of moving lots of water too.

I'll start looking into those thanks for the input!

+1

I've got two pp-8's in my DT, 6' 135 gallon, and a pp-4 in a 10g coral QT, been using them about a year. Really happy with them.

I use the same ones wave maker in my tank, the only difference is that I have 3 of them 2 2100, and 1 1050, but the 1050 runs few times in the day at 20% to help whit the dead zone in the tank

How slow do they go for the feeding setting? It only says it slows them not stops, would you be able to target feed corals on it?

Same size or similar size tank I'm assuming?

I'm running two of the 1050 eflux in my 75. Plenty of flow. Currently all lps in the tank

They are not too pricey but I didn't need to buy the hub or controller since I already had the ic pro lights

Ah yeah, the silly little hubs on all of these things are always so expensive. More research will be done for sure.

Bumping to find what other things a new crowd might suggest.

I was going to go with jebao until I decided to go with the ic pro lights

Many use jebao with the understanding they don't last forever. For the price of one craps out you just replace it. I am very happy with my jebao return pump

Oh my, to me a pump that wouldn't last forever and buying a new one when it dies is much more the level of the SunSun, 7-10 each. If I'm buying for something that I'm going to expect to die on me then I'll stick with my SunSun pumps. I'm looking with something with a bit more staying power.

hello Starry all I have to add is,I have 2 ,8* jebeo's on my 75 mostly LPS some softies. I have to keep the power set at the lowest setting to prevent my big euphylia from whipping around too much. They have several different patterns of flow , feed mode & you can slave them together . The controllers are easy to use(important to me ), the connections seem sturdy & the price was very easy on my wallet .
