Hi all,

I am looking into getting a carbon/gfo reactor and I can't decide which is best for me

I have a 75 gal tank with a 30 gal sump.
Due to having a Trigger Systems sump, I don't think I can hang anything on the lip since it turns in like a roof, so BRS External seems to be best. I am also running out of space, so the footprint will have to be small as possible.

Should I get the Single: not sure if it's an overkill- holds 300 gallons worth of Carbon

Or the Mini: Holds 100 gallons worth of Carbon.
https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-gfo-carbon-reactor-5-single.html

I may mix GFO with the carbon, not sure if the Mini would cut out for that if I mix the two.
Also, I don't want to make my water TOO clean either.. I want clearer water.

If anyone has a suggestion of a different reactor that's around the same price, I will take a look too!

I used the BRS dual for 2 years, had it plumbed from my manifold. I decided to use a separate filter housing with refillable inserts off Amazon for about $15 each. I pumped them separately so I have control for each reactor independently. I just sold my BRS dual on Craig's list for $20. I think the dual reactor is just a bad design, not worth the money. I also did not like the rigid lines it came with.
