Been looking at these 2 for past few days as i am looking to purchase a new RO/DI unit. and can't seem to make a decision! Does anyone have a experiences with either of these? Good? Bad? I do know my city water treats the water with chlorimine (think I spelled that right ) Would either work for that? I plan on running them once a week for maybe 40-50 gallons.

But it doesn't have a tds meter or gauge on that model. The 5 stage with those is 239 so in between both that I posted. I have a sediment filter from the ro/di unit I got with the tank. It just needs a new filter. Another question. Spent 10 minutes watching a pressure gauge I have on the outside faucet. It went up and down from 46ish psi to 55ish psi. Is that enough? Or having a booster pump would be a better option for the ro/di filters correct?

Sorry I didn't know that you wanted the model with those add-ons to it lol, I would still go with the BRS one only because I absolutely trust that one it is the one that I use and I've not had a single issue with it. as far as your faucet pressure that should be enough mine sits around 60 and I get 0 TDS water out of mine

Thanks crabs. I'm sure I will have more questions coming. Got my hands on a 180 gallon tank that was a reef before it was taken down a few months ago.

So I know that the AquaFX units are made in the USA.. (winter park FL) . and I think Marine Depot is too... Im not sure where the other units are manufactured?

Its nice to be able to contact the manufacturer (AquaFX has on staff engineers, Environmental and Civil.. maybe overkill, maybe not) - you can custom order your system, or even order a standard system - that is built to order for you. Working direct with the source (even when you buy from a 3rd party vendor) - you can always reach out to AquaFX as if you purchased from them directly. after 17 years, its hard to compare to.

46-55 psi, are you on a well? its odd that you would get a 10 psi fluctuation. anything above 40 psi will work, we did a video to show the TDS out of a membrane from 40 to 80 psi, and the TDS was cut in half (16 to 8 ppm if my memory serves me). Which if you're making tons of water will matter (hundreds of gallons per week). If your making 20 gallons a week, than it may not matter quite as much - and you wont NEED the pump, although you can add an AquaFX pump one day to any RO system you pick - :)

I have a Aqua-FX Barracuda Unit that I purchased back in the 90's and still going strong. They have always been good to answer any questions I have had in the past. Would definitely buy from them again. JMO
