Hi,
Setting up a new 90g tank. I want to build reef with dry rock before I add water. What is the best rock to use without spending too much on it?

Hi Ray!

I think any dry rock within budget is good to go. Might choose something more clean like BRS reef saver or Marco rock if you are unfamiliar with curing something like pukani. Though, a curing process should take place with any dry rock.

There are many methods and your creativity can run wild with acrylic rods or melted pvc piping. But I like to use polymorph. Other fish related companies sell it and it can come in a variety of colors. It's best identified by its plastic bead shapes. Might prefer the purple color as opposed to any white colorations. There are youtube videos to teach you how to adhere it to rocks.
