hey guys, up until now i have been going to the lfs and getting ro water. it has become a hassle and as a result water changes arent being done as often. i am looking to buy a ro unit! i plan on hooking it to the sink faucet whenever i need some water and un hooking is when not in use. was just looking for your guys opinions and recommendations. thanks!

I've been using a Spectrapure CSPDI system for a year now and has been working great. I just recently replaced only the sediment and carbon filters and still using the original DI. The sell refurbed units for a good price. See link for info.

MAXPURE MPDI SYSTEM

I would also highly recommend that same system. I have been a Spectrapure RO/DI user for about 9 years now after owning others previously and since and there really is no comparison.

Yes the Spectrapure units are as good as you can get. No other vendor treats and tests their RO membranes to improve their performance, uses 0.5 micron absolute rated sediment filters, custom blends every ounce of their DI resins specifically for reef use and very few use 0.5 micron, 20,000 gallon carbon blocks and capillary tube flow restrictors. There is only one other vendor who has also been around in the business for over 25 years like Spectrapure has and none has the testing facilities they have and none holds as many copyrights, trademarks and patents. They don't just assemble some off the shelf parts, they actually research and build much of what they sell from the ground up.
