Which shipping company do you use for corals?

So I have been using fedex to overnight corals and have had quit a few show up days late. Anyone have any better recommendation? wanting to keep the price around 50-60. thanks

I only buy from local reefers. Cheaper, healthier and no shipping. I'd check if possible in your area. The livestock forum on this site is great as well as Facebook groups.

Yea I sell coral on here once in a while and have used fedex maybe 8/10 boxes make it to there destinations on time. Maybe that’s just part of the risk of shipping corals??

Other than maybe some local regional options you really only have Fedex and UPS as viable overnight options to the door. If it is a large or very expensive order i would recommend airline cargo shipping if it is feasible for you and the buyer. I always take this option when available. It is a little more expensive especially on lighter shipments but not as much as you may think. If you can get a direct flight there is very little risk of very long delays.... just more hassle.

My experience is that UPS has been a bit cheaper and a little better on dependability. I guess that all depends on the drivers in your area... whether they take any pride in their jobs... lol.

My biggest problem is lately, prices are thru the roof. I've created an account with UPS, talked with them on the phone and the best deal I can get is not even close to what I can get pricewise on one of the Shipping Websites...Nex, Shipyouraquatics, etc...

I see some coral websites offer Free shipping to around the $50 range for Next day shipping.

My example... 18x18x10 box, 8lbs.
UPS direct...(with my best discount) $185
NEX.... $103
Shipyouraquatics... $170


ANYBODY have some info on who to use for affordable shipping these days....?
