Which side is up on a Feather Duster?

OK so this is most likely a very straight forward question but my LFS gave me a feather duster, it has a paper looking half and a half covered in sand. I buried the sand side and left the other side out.
The only reason I ask is he hasn’t emerged yet and it’s been over night.
I acclimated it correctly but I want to make sure I didn’t put the wrong side in the ground lol!

They take 3-4 days to come out, in my experience
 
I usually leave them on the sand sideways for a couple days (maybe anchor with some live rock rubble) and wait for them to open. Then you'll know for sure.

Other way to check is to take a flashlight and look down the tube. The "head" will either have the crown or a kinda indented figure-eight shaped structure if it dropped the crown
