Which size return pump for tank/skimmer/overflow etc

Hi,
I have a 270 litre tank with a skimmer rated for a 400 litre tank ( skimmer pump is 1400lh)
I was looking at getting a hang on over flow that's rated for 1500 litres/hour ,
and a return pump that's 1400lh.
Is this all correct or should i use a smaller return to give the skimmer more time to do its job ?

Also taking headroom into account i imagine the return will pump less than 1400lh anyway?

There is a few question about your setup I would like to know before I would feel comfortable answering.
1. What skimmer and what type are you planning on using internal, external recirc??
2. Are you planning on using a sump of some sort?
3. How far vertical will the return pump be from the tank return?
4. What size return hose do you intend to use.

The skimmer is already in use it is both hang on and also can be used as internal Currently hang on http://www.aquaone.com.au/2018-02-20-00-40-42/filtration-3/protein-skimmers/item/2916-50023
This is the sump i was looking at http://www.aquariumonlinesupplies.com.au/icecap-24-reef-acrylic-sump.html ( NB. for some reason they have listed 2 different tank ranges but its this one
"Tank Range: Min 60 Gallons, Optimal 80 Gallons, Max 110 Gallons."
From bottom of sump to a bit over the top of tank , 3ft 10 inches or 1.2 meters ........This is the pump http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.au/2500b-submersable-with-float.html
(i have to call about headroom) I changed pump im looking at to 2000lh and this one has auto shut off.
In regards to hose size i will have to call aswell ( but i imagine 1" ) might have to get an adaptor
