i'd take a look at the das ex-2. i've got it on my system. about 130 gal of water. pulls out some super nasty stuff. when i clean it, i usually start to gag. LOL just another option!

lol. okay thats for the input everyone. we are in the process of building the stand now. and we have the tank sitting here. i wasnt going to worry about a skimmer yet becuase we have one. but i cracked it a bit and figuring i will need to replace it before too long. just dont wanna go super $ since didnt plan on needing one and with the costs of the new tank stand etc...

I am running an Euro Reef RS100 on my 72g and about to upgrade to a 120g which I will also run the RS100 on. Work awesome.

The bubble master is basically the same skimmer as the MSX, SWC, and the octo extreme. The latter three are knock offs of the BM.

True, but for much less money.

I have the Bubble Master 250. awesome skimmer, but if the MSX or SWC would have been available at the time I would have bought one of them.

For the dimensions and corners I have, I am going with the BK 180 mini....I have heard nothing but great things from this skimmer. The second generations perform amazing.

Skimmers are a lot like light bulbs in that everybody has there favorite.

Myself, I would not really suggest the ETSS skimmer, to much power to run them. I would suggest the Octo Extreme or MSX skimmers (same skimmer different labels) as the least expensive good skimmers. The ASM G3 is about the same skimmer (with a better pump) than the Octopus NW-200, which is a lot less expensive.

If you want to move up in price the Deltecs/H+S/BubbleKing/ATB etc are all really good skimmers, but they do cost quite a bit more.
