Hey Guys. My tank is up running for 7 months Now. It's a 175g full Zeovit system. I have the maxspect ad600 skimmer running on my tank since the beginning. Personally, I don't like this skimmer. It's quite(almost silent) and fancy looking but it's really hard for me to dial in and really touchy. My mind is set to switch to a new skimmer. I narrow it down to two skimmers.

1. bubblekIng supermarin 160
2. lifereef sv3 24

Anyone suggestions?

Lifereef would be your best bang for the buck. I have a reactor from lifereef and its a great quality piece of equipment.

Love my Lifereef and I wouldn't buy anything different. However tons have bubble kings and love them as well.

If you like to color match your equipment to your plumbing and sump, Jeff can do that. Not something offered by many.

Dose it pull out some nasty stuff? I want some quality foam in the collection cup unfortunately,my current one cant do that. I had a 25 nano before this tank. I bought three different skimmer for that tank. 1. AquaMaxx NF-1 Nano hard to dial and not consistent 2. eshopps nano works great but so easy to mess up and thing is loud 3. Auqamaxx hob 1.5 awesome awesome skimmer constantly pulling nasty stuff out and relatively quiet.

Mine is the first pic. But I want something like the second pic. actually dirty foam in the collection cup.

Nerveless, When I convert my nano into a barebottom frag tank. I had a bacteria bloom. I plug the hob1.5 skimmer in it clear out with in few hours. I also had few minor bacteria bloom in my current tank and the ad600 skimmer Just seats There doing Nothing. That's also why I want to change to a different skimmer. I'm carbon dosing skimmer is vital for me.

I personally am particularl to reef octopus skimmers, but if reelife skimmers are anywhere as good as their reactors then it has to be a kick butt skimmer

I love my lifereef as well. You can adjust it to run wet or super dry. Very consistent, and you can use any pump on it that meets the minimum flow requirements.

If you have room I would suggest stepping up to the 30". I run a 36" but I am running a basement sump so not trying to fit it under a stand.

Here is a nog picture for you.

It sure did, unfortunately I don't have any pictures and currently it's running pretty dry due to me only having one clown in a 175G volume system lol
