Hello everyone im considering switching over to a snail only cleanup crew but im curious if any can be bred and reproduce succesfully . I know trochus do, ive heard of some turbo and nassarius but i know most have a planktonic phase, what about stomatella, cowries, cerith, etc

I had two ceriths crawl out of my live rock a year after I got the rocks. Now, a year later, I see a few more baby ceriths. So I'm pretty sure they can bred in captivity. I also got some chaeto from Reef Cleaners that had some tiny little black ceriths in it. I asked them about it and it sounded like they breed in the chaeto regularly. I know there are a lot of different ceriths out there, some may be easier than others.

I've counted about 7-10 baby trochus in my sump refugium on the 65 gallon, and a couple in the display after about a year of running and starting with around ~15.

My lfs has a tank with a bunch of tiny nassarius snails and they say that they breed in the tank and havent bought any in years, does anyone have experience with this?

Nassarius breed like rabbits in my reefs, ceriths used to but stopped when the nassarius started up? Turbos, Stomatella and Trochus too only on a slower pace
