Which Sump Skimz UP39 or Trigger Ruby 36?

So I was going to try making my own setup with a 40gal breeder but it's an inch too wide for my stand. So I'm looking at these 2 sumps. This will be going under my 90gal long. I don't know if I would use the ATO reservoir on the Skimz so it could potentially be unused space. Thanks!

Go with the trigger. I have two trigger myself and absolutely love them. The quality, design, and features are unbeatable. Although I do recommend the emerald line. The drain chambers are excellent at silencing and preventing any sort of salt creep.

I think I’m going to follow your advice and go with the emerald. It’s not cheap but I’m thinking it’s worth it. The reviews are really good too!

You’d have to fill the reservoir up daily on the skimz . It’s tiny. What were they thinking?

Well I received the Emerald 34 yesterday. Before it showed up I couldn’t figure out what the bid deal is. The reviews say the construction quality is awesome blah blah blah.

Well I’m extremely impressed. The quality of the materials is amazing. I’m also very glad I went with the emerald over the ruby. I have a feeling this will be worth every penny. Thanks for the solid advice!
