Of the 2 sister species, which do you like better under blues?

Acanthurus lineatus, the clown tang?

Or Acanthurus sohal, the Sohal Tang?

I have one of each (different tanks) and can honestly say they are both absolutely stunning! The clown tang will obviously have more of the bright color. But the Sohal has small amounts of a few colors and an amazing pattern.

You won't go wrong either way!

My clown tang just glows under Orpheks

If you could only pick one which would you get??? I want a sohal so bad for my 300 gallon but the clown tang is more in my price range. Wondering if I should just go with the clown tang or pick up extra shifts and save up for the sohal!

Absolutely agree, of the 2 the sohal is definitely worse behavior wise.

Fish all looks 10x better in more white lighting.
I agree, which is why blues are only on by themselves for an hour at night before bed. Just happened to film them in blue, so thought it would make a fun post.

Do you have either of them? One was going to be the last edition because of their temperament! But Im still undecided if I want to add one of these guys

Powder blues can be nasty, but clowns and especially sohals are on a whole other level. Sohal is by far the most aggressive fish I've kept.

If you look above, you will see my clown tang and have commented in my clown tang before. Below is my Sohal who seriously had to go - was TOO nasty.
