Hello all. I am interested in setting up a salt water aquarium and these AIO tanks are really intriguing. At this point I am down to trying to compare a JBJ rimless flat panel versus the Red Sea Max E aquarium series. My LFS says that the JBJ is as good as the Red Sea. I have my doubts about that statement but am finding little online that compare the setups against one another. Red Sea seems to offer a lot more in the aquarium.

Anyone have experience with these?

Biggest problem I’ve heard about the Red Sea tanks is that you can’t go to the local hardware store and buy a piece of plumbing if it breaks. Apparently, their plumbing is metric and doesn’t fit the American plumbing.

If you change your mind, I have an IM 30l and really like it.

I would also vouch for IM AIO tanks. I have had two so far and love them.

As far as JBJ and Red Sea goes, (besides the Metric issue) I would go Red Sea hands down. I may be a bit biased since I just dropped a lot of cash on a Red Sea Reefer 750 XXL, but researching tanks for the last 6 months led me to that decision so I have to go Red Sea.

Waterbox also has a line of AIO tanks that look pretty sweet as well. The pricing seemed pretty good too. You may want to check those out while you are at it. The plumbing is probably not metric also, but in an AIO you really don't need to worry about plumbing, right?

I think if this is a starter tank, go inexpensive. You will upgrade soon enough. If 32 gallons is enough, go Coralife Biocube. You can go online at Walmart.com and order the tank/stand combo. You can even order the Steve's LED lighting upgrade. You have to specifically search it or it won't come up in regular tank listings.
