Im not sure if this is even the right place, if not please move!

So I am going to start treating Seachem Cupramine in my QT tank and I know I need a good test kit so I dont kill ma fish. Really the only 2 tests I am seeing are Seachem Copper Test Kit and Salifert Copper test kit. Are both of these good and its either or, or should I go with the Seachem test since Cupramine is made my Seachem?

I am also going to start dosing Vodka in the DT to help battle the algae so I need me a good phostphate test. If I remember reading correctly I need a low end phosphate test correct? For phosphates there are a lot more choices for tests. There is Salifert, Seachem, Red Sea, ELOS, Hannah Checker Low range or High range, and NYOS. Usually Hannah checkers seem to be the better option but I have read iffy reviews on the phosphate one. So any suggestions are welcome, if you recommend a brand I didnt list let me know!

Thanks

Don't waste your time on the Seachem test kit, do your self a favor and get the Salifert it is hands down a better, easier to use and read test than Seachem. If your going to get a Hanna checker for phosphate get the low range, the high range is like a random number generator. My last 3 tests in succession with the Hanna high range were; 0.04, 0.00 and 0.02. So I split the difference and went with 0.02.

Which makes perfect sense since it has claimed uncertainty of +/- 0.o4 ppm. :)

IMO, both of those will be adequate for copper medicating. There was an issue a few years ago about Salifert and Cupramine since Seachem wouldn't say what it was and Salifert then couldn't know if it tested accurately with Seachem's modified copper, but I think that has been worked out.

I have used both recently and have found for myself that the Salifert was easier to use, easier to read and in my opinion more accurate on side by side comparisson.
And yes I understand that the checker has an uncertainty range, i thought it was 0.05. anywho the low range I feel is more accurate.

Okay thanks yall, still not sure what I will go with for phospahtes but after reading reviews of tests its either between Salifert or Hannah Checker.
