Which Test Kits for Calcium and Alk

I've only used ELOS Phosphate Pro, but I like it very much.

Hanna for ALK and Phosphate. Salifert for everything else. I used to use the Hanna for Calcium too, but like was mentioned before it reads high and is a PITA to use compared to the ALK and Phosphate, I will be selling that one off soon.

I use Hanna for Ca, Alk, and PO4. The bad thing about the Ca test is it measures a 0.1 ml sample that you pull out with a little syringe. If you are off by 1 hundredth of a ml you are off by 10% on your reading. This is roughly +- 40ppm. To overcome this, I bought a scilogex digital pipet. Get the one for 20-200 microliters. 0.1 ml = 100 microliters. Set it to 100 microliters. Problem solved and now I get super consistent test results. $80 on amazon. Using an accurate photometer that give a ppm reading . . . Priceless!

Use Hanna checkers for Alk, CA, & Phosphate. API for everything else and secondary Alk confirmations. It's all about taking your time and being precise. I've begun running spot tests on newly mixed batches of saltwater. Also have the Hanna standards for ALK & CA to always have known samples on hand.

I like API for Calcium and API for normal usage. Salifert if I want the higher resolution. Most others are perfectly fine as well.
