Which type of salt

Biocube 32 beginner. When cycling my aquarium should I use reef salt or just aquarium salt? I plan to have some reef down the road, but it will be a while.

The regular instant ocean salt works good. Even for reefs. Pretty much any salt mix will suffice for cycling and fish only

Instant ocean would be fine i my opinion. You can adjust nutrients down the road by moving to a different salt or dosing.

Reef salts tend to have higher calcium and magnesium levels. Until you get some hard corals that are growing pretty well, a humdrum salt will do fine.
