I keep four systems at the moment. 125g mixed reef, 24g invert/sponge tank, 5g sponge tank, and 40g coral spawning tank. Of all of them, my mixed reef is the most interesting to watch, but the sponge tank is quickly becoming my new favorite.

What have you found to be the best advice for keeping sponges?

I wish I could give some guru advice, but what's worked for me has been very minimal filtration and occasional stirring up of the substrate. I don't really feed my sponge tank at the moment, it seems like the detritus produced by the crabs in the tank is enough to keep my mini colonies alive. It helps to get hardy species as well, both species of sponge in my tank were scraped off of a dock at low tide lol
