Got a pm from a new member. See if you guys can help!

I have a tank 100x60x60cm 360ltr.I wish to add vortech's in it.Do you think that 1 mp40 will do a better job than 2 mp10?

I prefer 2 smaller pumps to one larger. I think 2 MP10's would work nicely, but it really depends on what kind of corals you plan on keeping.

go with the 2 mp 10 vortech works better in pairs, I am running 2 mp40's and wasent happy when I only had 1.

def go with two, with one the flow is very unidirectional and not very dynamic, with two it will make it much more natural and your corals will benefit.

If my math is right, it's a 95 gallon tank approx. I'd do 2 X MP20 or 2 X MP40. I have 2 X MP40 on my 120 Gallon and they are awesome...2 MP10s sounds low for a 95G. I'd rather have too much power than be left wishing for more....and since they're adjustable, you can fine tune up or down to your specific preferences.

I'd also recommend getting one of the battery back ups for power outages. My power was out for 2 days a couple of weeks ago and the battery pack saved my whole tank, including SPS.

for a 95 go 2 mp20 or 40s. on my 90 i had an Mp20 and an Mp40w but i got tired of them breaking so much so im making the switch to tunzes

they dont make MP20's anymore, at least they are not wireless and they dont make them ES if you care about that

you could try 1 MP40 and 1 MP10 thats what I have, but I have my MP40 tuned down so low that its probably equivalent to 2 MP10's

what size is that tank? I don't think it is a 95g she measured it in cm not inches. If it is a 95g go with 2 mp40s all day long you can always turn them down. If it is for a smaller tank 2 mp10's will be better cause if you turn the 40's down all the way it still might be too much for a small tank. I run 2 mp40's at about half speed on my 72 and that is even almost to strong. It also depends on what you are going to stock your tank with. I is true also I heard they dont make mp20's anymore.

I'd go with 2 mp10's over 1 MP40 anyday...
I agree I had one mp40 and it sucked, too much direct power, the min I got 2 it was a whole new ball game. I don't run them full blast and they work great together. If you don't have a 100 gallon or more tank it is hard to get good flow without blowing everything around in your tank but when you get two you don't need to run them full blast and they work perfect like that, and if you ever upgrade you will always have the extra power. Like I said it has a lot to do with what you plan to stock also, I know my LPS cant handle my 2 mp 40's full blast.

If you get 2 mp10s make sure you get it with the wireless module in both.
