Hi all. I got this coral about 2 months ago. I am not even sure the name. I was told it is an encrusting coral and like higher par. I have it secured roughly 8 inches below the water surface at the top of my rock scape. I am using a radion xr15 mounted 8 inches off the water surface. I rented a par meter and the par that this coral is receiving is 325 at the brightest light of the day which runs about 5 hours.
Water params as of yesterday are
Alk 10.0
Calcium 460
Ph 8.1
Mag 1400
Temp 79
Salinity 1.026
Nitrate 5-10
Phosphate 0.02
I noticed a few days ago that there seem to be some whiter or lighter areas beginning to form at different spots on the coral. It is a reddish orange color overall but these lighter spots look more blueish white.
is this too much Par for this type or is this growth? I got the best pics I could.
