Ah I see! I don't have this on my apex jr. I imagine you can set it to do whatever once it senses the EB8 lost wall power.
But you need a device that can take an additional 12V input. I briefly checked to see if Jebao has this, RB definitely sells the whole system but not sure about any individual cables to hook it up to a DIY version.
I would love if you did this!I think I'm going to create a detailed thread on this system. I've gotten a lot of questions about it and I think it's a super solution to the problem.
If you have any quick questios I can answer them.
I will post a link to my thread once it is created, hopefully by the end of the night.
Me too. I have the Jebao PH's connected to a UPS to run for a couple of hours, but adding the return cuts the run time down drastically. I was looking for a solution so that I can run both the PH's and return for few hours or more.I would love if you did this!
Big did you ever get a change to do a write up in this? Can you link me plsWhat pumps do you have?
I travel all the time for work I am usually not gone for more than 2 weeks at a time, I depend on my Apex to tell me what's going on. I will never run a tank with out a controllerWow! stories like this are the ones that make me a little scare of the hobby. Hello everybody im a new member and new to the hobby, I'm about to set up a 120 gallon this will be my first big set up and when I read something like this it makes me a little scared to go trough with the project but I guess planning and preparation is the key. I'm definitely going to get some ideas for a back up system from this posts.
