I have a 350 gallon display acrylic tank and noticed these... streak marks inside of the tank..
Not sure what caused it?
I’m currently using Tunze Strong+ magnet cleaner..
Anyone know how to remove this... without totally emptying out the tank....

Just to check, we're referring to the vertical lines right? Are you using the plastic blades and not the medal blades on the tunze cleaner?

Being an acrylic tank, I don't have any experience with them, but if they are scratches, then they will have to be buffed out (assuming they're on the inside) unfortunately.

Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in here - sending best wishes your way!!

There's a really pronounced pattern in the streaks if I'm looking at the right thing. It may be that I'm looking at something in the reflection. That pattern doesn't look like it could be produced with movement.

Can you get a picture in different lighting or a different angle to get rid of the reflection?

Wow I fail, I really forgot to reply to this.
It turned out to be the tunze magnet (I do use the plastic one for acrylic).

It seems like the plastic got dulled out one end and started to leave like a plastic residue/friction burn sort of streaks. Mainly because I use the Tunze for my lower part of the tank when I really want to get rid of the algae near the sand bed.

I tested it out.. with my tunze, algae free, and flipper cleaners. Although my plastic blades do get abused a lot on most of my magnetic cleaners.. sadly only Tunze is the one that left the streak marks.
Tried magic eraser, using my nails to see if the streaks would come off.. but no luck! Haha one day I’ll just.. buff it out..
beginning to wonder if it’s because there are 2 blades on the tunze and when one side is worn off more... the pressure is uneven and leaves marks? Who knows....
Thank you for your help guys!
