Hi Folks,

Can I have a white anemone in my tank? I heard that they will kill other live stuff, but I see Petco has them for sale.

Thanks

Mike

What type is the White Anemone?
Hoping that your tank is not a 5g nano, he wouldn't kill anything unless he went on a walk through the tank and trampled everything.
But again, what kind are you referring to? Most Petcos just carry the Condys and the Sebae Anemones.

I would suggest to do some research on keeping an anemone. There are many different types of anemones and each has its own physical characteristics that make them different. This makes the care for each anemone different. It would be impossible to tell you how to care for something without knowing for sure what it is.

I see a lot of white bubble tip at my local Petco....they are just like any other bubble tip but not as pretty.

Could be....they arrived at Petco white....they basically get the pick from bottom of the barrel....I have seen rainbow bubble listed as just regular bubble and pick them up for $40....also I have a pair of black snowflake from them, Petco employee didn't know what they were and sold it to me at clakii price....$32 for 2 black snowflake clownfish is not bad at all.

No anemone is naturally white. This is from the anemone not receiving proper light or nutrients. Commonly referred to as bleaching. There is no way to identify the anemone you have without a picture. Post a pic and we could easily identify the anemone.
