Hey all!

Today during my tank observation time I noticed these white area of a couple Trochus snail shells. I tried googling, but I didn't find anything I was happy with. Could it be vermatids? Or maybe just new shell growth? The snails are pretty small, maybe like a dime size. They were all globbed onto each other when I purchase them and I didn't inspect them as thoroughly as I should've, so I have no idea if it's new or if they've been like that since I purchased them a couple weeks ago.

The tank is 6 weeks old, so I'd be surprised if it was something they were introduced to while in my tank.

Also sorry for the poor picture quality, they're in an inconvenient place under my rockwork so I did the best I could without disturbing them. I'm hoping it's common and obvious to members here, but if a better picture or more info is warranted please let me know.

Thanks!
