White around the eyes (yellow tang)

I woke up yesterday and my yellow tang was very white around the eyes. Throughout the day I thought it was getting better but I woke up today and it was bad again. I’ve noticed he also he didn’t eat much yesterday and has been breathing heavy. I was recommended to give them medicine and this is my second day doing that. Any suggestions on what it may be??

The heavy breathing is a separate issue, and could be caused by something environmental (ammonia?) or possibly a disease (e.g. parasite, worm) inside the gills.
