So about 9 days ago I switched over to Kalkwasser in my ATO and I am using 1/8th cup vinegar (30ml) per gallon to help dissolve the kalk.

In the last few days I have this massive sudden growth of white slimey goo. It is all over the filter sock and in the DT. Am I doing too much vinegar in the solution?

Is this harmful to anything and is it related to the vinegar dosing? I have also been feeding more recently too since my tang was looking a little thin.
