White blotches in new Zoas tube. Not sure what I am looking at and if I should be concerned. Dipper in CoralRx before adding and it is open and happy otherwise (took this after lights out because I was looking for something else in the tank and noticed)

These are Illuminati Zoas I added about 5 days ago and they are happy and open and all that. Would hate to lose them after paying $$$$ for them. I have 9 zoa frags and all the others seem ok and not to have this blemish

See what they are, try and feel then don’t put too much pressure you can damage the zoas... they may or may not be zoa pox in which case the disease can and will kill them... the cure that I know of is a series of dips in furan-2 which is a potent medication you do not want to add to your tank... do it in a separate container and rinse before you add them back usually a 3 days intense dip session followed by a period of rest and resume in dipping if needed can do the trick... after every dip I like to also dip in iodine solution... good luck I hope they make it !

hmm never heard of that but hope it isn’t them. The only thing that lends me to believe it isn’t pox (besides me praying it isn’t and being in denial) is that it doesn’t really look like pimples, kind of just the flesh is a lighter color. The stalk of the polyps are still smooth. Reminds me of an inverse cow splotch

Thinking the same does not really look like pox. Hopefully some more eyes can chime in

I am probably going to get a lot of lecturing after saying this but you can prick one with a pin underwater of course. Try the one spot on the zoa on the far left of the screen. If it oozes its pox. If pox add one package of furan 2 to one cup tank water for 10 mins once a day for three days

Yeah that’s why I said to feel them if it’s pox it’s noticeable to the touch (sometimes my eyes aren’t the best lol) do they open up just fine or ?
