White cotton like thingy on Green Acro

Hi Experts,
Noticed white cotton like patches on my green acro (toxic green according to LFS).. could someone confirm what it could be (Infection, burn, worm, etc.)?

Closeups.. sorry for blue light... it looks more white to naked eye.

Anything i should be doing to eliminate the white patches. Thanks.

Irritation. And that 100% is not an Acropora. It’s a seriatopora which is a birds nest. Hope you didn’t pay acro prices for that.

Oh wow... I just did a quick google and you are spot-on. And thanks for the clarification.. for the irritation what do you recommend as a possible solution, appreciate your help.

Hi experts, did a wc a few days ago to balance the parameters. But, the irritation (white cotton patches) on my green birdsnest not seems to be reducing (if I'm not it increased a little)... anything i should be doing?

Hi everyone, a quick update.. tried all the suggestions and after much fight... I lost the fight and the coral. Very sad but valuable lesson learnt. Thanks all for your help.

Sorry for the loss, birdsnest corals are usually bulletproof, especially a piece that large.

Placement?
Flow?

Judging by the slimy bubbles on your rock, flow appears to be very low. While those typically are bulletproof, every time I’ve ever had any problem with a birds nest I check the alkalinity and every time it’s out of whack. Usually too high.
