White dot on wrasses head

Woke up the morning to a white dot in the middle of my fairy wrasses head

I can’t tell if it’s sand or an actual bump

Looks like he bumped his head. Maybe off a rock burrowing. Almost definitely not an issue. Just watch it. Should clear up quickly.

Darned wrasses are famous for darting around in the tank and bumping into things. Sometimes bad enough to cause injury or death. Keep a close eye on this for infection: redness, white-ish area around the initial wound. Ruby Reef Rally, Kanaplex, Sulfaplex are good to have on hand for injuries and infections.
