White dots on snails now spreading across tank

Look like spiroboid worms. Harmless filter feeders.

No spirals nor feathers. The look flat and smooth. After sometime it seems a bit of algae turns them slightly green. No movement from what we can see.

So probably not barnacles either. Maybe remove one or two and investigate further.

Is the snail in the picture a nerite snail? (I think so from the picture)
If so, there is a high probability that the white dots are nerite snail eggs. They lay eggs quite profusely around the tank, though I have no idea how often that results in more nerites.
To be on the shell of the snail is strange, though, unless you have more than one nerite snail.

I had some nerites in my 75-gallon FOWLR that would make large patches of the same white dots on the back of the tank. A few days later, the white dots would be gone or broken open, then the nerites would lay more eggs. I have never found small or baby nerites in my tank, though.

Fish are probably eating them. Baby snails are easy prey and don’t last long.

Is it flat and shell-like? Kind of like one half of a mussel shell? If so, it could be a type of limpet or slipper shell snail. By where I live slipper shells are very common and I've frequently found them on other gastropod shells.
