White dots that dont look like ich.

I currently have a damsel in my frag tank that has developed white spots on and under its scales. i have had fish with ich before and this doesnt look quite the same. the dots are larger and seem to be under and pushing up the damsels scales which makes me think its some kind of parasite. My damsel doesn't appear to be uncomfortable at all and the white bumps don't seem to be getting progressivly worse like how ich does. I am going to buy a 10 gallon tank for treatment and am just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before and could help me figure out and get rid of whatever this is. I would really appreciate assistance with treatment or pointing me in the direction of what types of products may help

Thank you everybody so much for the replies and information. I see in reading about treating lymphocystis, it is reccomeneded to feed vitamin enriched food. Should I soak food in selcon? Or is there a specific food I should use instead

Yes. Selcon and very high quality food like fresh or frozen

Well I hate it when a thread has no report back as to what happened after the advice given. I switched to feeding TDO pellets soaked in selcon as well as rods food. Over time all of the cycts would rupture with varying degrees of damaged depending on where they're located and how deep in the tissue of the poor damsel. Over a week or two those wounds would heal up however and slowly all the cycts went away. At the time being the damsle has no visible cysts and all the wounds have fully healed.
